Definition of love.

Ever since my girlfriend and I told each other that we love each other people have been telling us to define love. But how do you define an emotion? Surely the only people that would ask us to define it are those that don’t already know.
If you know what love is then you already know when somebody else is in love too.
But you know me I love a challenge, I’m going to define love.
From a scientific point of view love is a dramatic, massive chemical reaction in the brain that permanently alters how the brain itself works. So love changes you forever, you become hardwired to forever care for this one person.
“One and only true love lasts forever” would be appropriate.
Everything you do becomes for them, to provide for them, to care for them, to have the love returned.
This person your are in love with becomes your driving force, they become your reason. You loose your sex drive for anybody except this one person. You don’t find anybody attractive except your love, and the one you love becomes super attractive.
Your entire universe becomes about this one person, all of your plans, all of your dreams, every desire includes or revolves around this one person.
An emotional view is all of the above (minus the brain talk) plus how the person makes you feel. Well poets since the beginning of literature and probably before have been describing how there love makes them feel.
There are library’s full of romantic literature, but the most common emotions and thoughts are how the person makes you feel, how you couldn’t live without them, how you were nothing before them and would be nothing without them, how they are always on your mind and how every second you spend wishing they were in your arms.
Love is powerful enough to make people risk there lives for others health and happiness. Strong enough to withstand any obstacle, any defiance or difficulty. Soft enough to make you appreciate life, beauty and the world around you. Wild enough to reawaken emotions you may have forgotten or never experienced.
A single person in love could and probably would spend there life describing love and telling there lover how much they love them.
This is all from experience.
When I tell Karmen I love her I mean it. I mean all of the above. 
She is my one and only true lasting love. I will always love her. I could never love or even look at anybody else.
All of my plans include or revolve around Karmen. All of my dreams are about Karmen. 
She are always on my mind and I am always wishing she were in my arms. Karmen make me feel more wonderful and alive then I ever thought possible.
Karmen, I live for you, I work for you, everything I am and do is for you.
All of the above is for you, all of this (and more) was written for and about you. Because when I met you I fell deeply and utterly in love.
I experienced all this (and more) as I changed and fell deeper and deeper in love with you.
This feeling is so much more then I could ever describe through words and it is still growing.
I will spend my life making you feel the way you make me feel.
I will spend my life devoted to you in everyway.
